Resident of Randolph, MA
Jimmye Lou (Smith) Hagins was born in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Reverend Eddie Smith, Sr., and
Malissa Jackson Smith on August 16, 1936. Her six siblings and parents proceeded her in death.
Having grown up in a devout Christian home, Jimmye Lou accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. Jimmye Lou, was a faithful member of New Hope Church of God in Christ pastored by Tracy
Adams.
Jimmye Lou met Milton Hagins of Tuskegee, AL in 1958, while enrolled at Tuskegee University. She married Milton in 1959 at St. Marks Congressional Church in Roxbury, MA. Several years later, they moved to Randolph, MA where they raised their three sons.
She held several positions during her working career including nursing assistant, educator for a pre-K program, and supervisor for a mailing company. Outside of her professional career she was involved with the Concerned Citizens of Randolph and the NAACP Chapter of Brockton.

She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph on Saturday, July 15th beginning at 9am followed by a service at 10am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
We have been friends for nearly 60 years and never lost communication. Jimmye and Milton would frequently "just call to say I/we were thinking about all". We would chat about church, "Grant" and the boys. Yes, an avid and influential member of the community as well as a devoted Christian woman I can attest to. She was always cautious of her Biblical teaching in her conversations.
May she rest in peace from the toils and pains from this life.
So long my friend,
On behalf of Crispin,Rheba, Alexis and Sherley Phillips
Sis. Hagins, has been a friend of the Whittington family for over many years. She, came to my mother's funeral, and she was devastated by her loss. She, and Bro. Hagins, were friends to Samuel and Ernesting Whittington, for many years including Sam, my brother, and me. I sent her a mother's day card, not knowing that she was very sick. My birthdays were at the old Howard Johnson Restaurants, and her sons, Ricky, Leon, and Carl would come to my birthday party. They probably don't remember that now. My late father had a picture, but it has gone somewhere. Anyway, I always cherished my conversations with Sis. Hagins, and I will miss her laugh, her spirit, her humbleness, and her love for God. She, sent me some pictures long time ago, dressed for church. My condolences to Bro. Hagins, Ricky, Leon, and Carl. I loved your mother, and she, loved me, and my late parents and brother. Sleep on Sis. Hagins. Take your eternal rest! We, will miss you tremendously!!!!!
Mr Hagins, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you grieve the loss of your loved one.
