Eugene G. McGraw

Eugene G. McGraw, of Holbrook, passed away August 11, 2024 at the age of 70. Gene was a resident of Holbrook for most of his life. He was a long-time truck driver, mechanic, and Jack of all trades. He retired from his final career of property maintenance.

Gene enjoyed riding motorcycles, building model cars, was a capable pinstriper, and was always willing to lend hand working on cars or in and around the house. He enjoyed talking to whomever came his way about whatever although sometimes longer than necessary. Most of all he was a kind man with a big heart, always willing to help even if his delivery was a little rough sometimes. He was a proud parent, a loving son and brother and uncle, even a loving ex-husband. Even as the days pass without him his story is unfolding through memories and shared stories by all that new him.

He is survived by his son Peter McGraw of Brockton, his siblings Janet Murphy of Holbrook, Ronald McGraw of Holbrook, Kevin McGraw and wife Diana of Riverview, FL, Linda Justice of Cooper City, FL, Michael McGraw and wife Jean of Florence, KY, as well as countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and loved ones. Gene is predeceased by his parents, H.L. Eugene and Priscilla (Robinson) McGraw and his brother, James McGraw.

Per Gene’s request, there will be a short viewing for family and close friends. Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Currie Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook, on Saturday, August 17th from 9:30-10:30am followed by a service at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment private.
