We are blessed to have such a wonderful periappa in our life he is true Christian who follows the steps of Jesus a prayer warrior man of faith in all his circumstances he has strong faith in Jesus he sings very beautifully. Even though we didn’t see periappa for long time he remembers everyone one of us and supported us in his prayers. I can’t forget his 2 beautiful songs which he sings everyday when I was in his house They who trust in the Lord and Don’t give up song cheerfully even at the death bed of periamma. Indeed periappa will be rejoicing in heaven with Jesus whom he loved the most and he fulfilled God’s purpose in his life. Periappa we dearly miss you and love you so much but we have a hope to see you again on the other side of the beautiful shore.

We know uncle for the past 20 years. Uncle is a wonderful God fearing and a very loving man. He had a great zeal for God and His word. Any given time he never hesitated to Share the Gospel to any one.. Even when he was admitted in the hospital heI saw him sharing the words from Bible to the Doctors who came to treat him. He taught my children every time we met. It’s a great loss for the family, but his pains are gone and he is resting with God.
Great blessing to attention uncles funeral. We Love you Uncle.
I am a sister of Mrs Anjala Richards – wife of Dr M G Richards. I call him Richard athan ( Tamil for brother in law ). I clearly remember the day athan joined our big family – after the wedding service he was welcomed to the house with singing dancing and laughter. Athan was overwhelmed by our noisy crowd but in his quiet gentle way shared his love and joy . Soon he became an integral part of our family’s day to day life. I was only a little girl . Both Anjala ( akka ) and athan had a great influence in my walk with God. At every opportunity they would talk about Jesus , they did everything prayerfully . God was in every conversation. They set a high standard of values for us to learn from. One incident I will mention. He was selected to be the surgeon at the Racecourse which was a highly paid job with many perks. He declined it because of its connection to gambling at a time in his life when they had very meagre resources. Well coming to recent past , athan had become my spiritual guide and I called whenever I needed prayer . I will miss him greatly.
Dr Richard was the Prayer Fellowship leader at Madras Veterinary College, Chennai. He guided us during our student days. His guidance helped us a lot. He was a practicing Christian who lived for the Lord. My prayers for his family
Dear Chris
Sir was my class teacher a noble pious gentleman and a good sportsman. He is a good philanthropist, helped many students. When sir is there we are not afraid of practical examination. He will never failed anyone in our batch. He is student friendly. He used to take jurisprudence practical for us in which most will be failed by external. He refused all the opportunities of going to Madras Race Club with a good salary which he felt it is a gambling area at the cost of so many lives in the family. Such a noble person. On behalf of TANUVAS teacher pensioner’s association I convey our prayers and condolences to the breaved family. May his soul rest in peace. Dr P Sriram, Secretary,TTPA
Was my Surgery lecturer during undergraduate years at the Madras Veterinary College, from 1978 to 1983 Chennai, Tamil Nadu India
We used call Deivam (God) being such compassionate and kind teacher. A person who always had a smiling face and words of encouragement. It is more than 42 years since I have seen him but he always had a special place in our hearts. May his soul rest in peace
I am greatly blessed to have a wonderful teacher and spiritual guide Dr.M.G.Richard. He was instrumental in shaping my spiritual life during my early youth while studying in Madras Veterinary College. He used to take Bible study in a church nearby Veterinary College to the students of Veterinary college. Many students including me were blessed. Long ago once when he visited the nearby district Tirunelveli, he took much pain to travel in a bus to Nagercoil in the evening just to see me. He had dinner with us in our home, prayed for our family and returned back to Tirunelveli in the night. He is safe in the arms of JESUS.

I am greatly blessed to have a wonderful teacher and spiritual guide Dr.M.G.Richard. He was instrumental in shaping my spiritual life during my early youth while I was studying in Madras Veterinary College. Long ago, once after his retirement, when he visited my nearby district Tirunelveli, he traveled in a bus in the evening for about 80 km to Nagercoil just to see me. He had dinner with us in our home, prayed for our family and returned back to Tirunelveli in the night. He was a role model Christian, loved by his students and colleagues . He was courageous enough to tell the Gospel to higher officials including the Vice Chancellor. Truly missing him.
My dear Christo and Angelo,
Yesterday evening ( evening for us) thoughts of Richard annan and Anjala madhini came flooding into my mind, their weddling and all the fun, friendly teasing and fun that followed. I was just 14 and was filled with admiration for Richard Annan who patiently bore all this with an amused look on his face. Over the years I got to know him, a person of genuine faith and integrity. He looked at people with compassion and prayed for them with sincerity from his heart. The years that I visited Chennai while I was in Pune university Annan and I shared and discussed Anthropology and Veterinary science! His humbleness is something we could all do well to emulate.
He leaves a big gap in your lives and that of his grandchildren. For me it was assuring to know that he was just a phone call away.
Annan is now with his Anjala in the company of all those who have gone before him with Jesus.
I clearly remember the time Annan and you visited us in Peter‘s father’s home. We were at the table and Annan was talking about Anjala madhini. Susu, Peter’s veterinarian sister turned to me and asked, did he lose his wife recently. No, its been quite some years, I replied. Oh! I thought it was recent. She added that she had never met a man with such devotion to his wife as Annan. She has deep respect for him.
Our love and prayers are with all of you.
With love and prayers
Peter and Kanchana athai, Philip and family.
