Daniel “Danny” Rawana

December 12, 1949 – January 4, 2026
Resident of Avon, MA

With hearts full of love, we remember Daniel “Danny” Rawana, who passed away January 4th, 2026, at the age of 76. Although our time with Daniel has been cut short, his impact will be felt forever.

Daniel was born December 12, 1949, in Miss Phoebe Port Mourant, Guyana to the late Moses Rawana and Seetama “Amnie” Ramsammy. He was a loving husband to Asharoon Rawana, a supportive father to his daughters Diana and Michelle, a caring grandfather to Giselle, Mason and Liam, and sincere father-in-law to Brian Haugh and Tarik Phillip. He was also an outgoing brother to Nelson Rawana, May Rawana, and the late Joseph Rawana, Lina Rawana, Metlyn Rawana, and Ilene Rawana. Daniel loved those who surrounded him. His love was not only loud, it was unshaken, leaving an impact on everyone around him.

Daniel attended Jaggernauth High School in Port Mourant where he learned his love for wrestling and received recognition for his skills. In later years, if he wasn’t working at home or on his bike, he would spend most of his time at the Apolo Cinema. This is where he found his second love, Bollywood. This love blossomed him into becoming the superstar, well dressed, always smelling “sweet”, music loving person we knew him as. To know Daniel was to know how to smile, laugh and enjoy what life had to offer. He loved to be the first one dancing, listening to music at the highest possible level, and watching wrestling and Western movies. His contagious personality always had a way of bringing joy and humor in a way that forever rings in our hearts.

We will miss Daniel in ways both small and large. In empty spaces, in the laughter with family, and the moments we think of him without realizing. However, we will think of Daniel always, with love stronger than grief and gratitude deeper than sorrow.

To know Daniel is a gift

To love him was a privilege

And to remember him will be forever
