Anita (Tonucci) Zukowski
Passed on October 22, 2025
Resident of Brockton, formerly of Randolph, MA
It is with extreme sadness that the family of Anita (Tonucci) Zukowski announce her passing on October 22nd, 2025, at the age of 84. Anita, family nicknamed Chickie, was the daughter of the late Mary (DiFederico) and Greco Tonucci. She was a graduate of Quincy High School and a dedicated employee of Garber Bros Inc for many years.
Anita was a strong woman who persevered through life’s challenges. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Zukowski, the love of her life, whom she selflessly cared for for many years due to his disability. Anita was a kind, caring, and funny woman of great faith. She was an amazing wife, mother, friend, and the best “Nana Z” ever! Above all, Anita’s greatest love was her family.
Anita loved the Boston Red Sox, a true Boston sports fan. She made the best lasagna and homemade chocolate cream pie. She was a competitive cribbage player with her family and friends; she enjoyed being the champ, and oftentimes she was. She loved her Dunkin’ Donuts coffee and spending time with her family, friends, grandpups, and grandkitties.
Anita is survived by her three children, Sharon of Bridgewater and her husband James, Steven of Middleboro and his wife Heidi, and Sandra of Berkley and her husband Robert. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren, whom she adored and was always there to care for, Gehrig, A.J., Jillian, Kaylee, and Erica. She is also survived by her sister Geraldine (Tonucci) Czerniawski and her husband Victor, her brother Gregory Tonucci and his husband Michael, and her sister-in-law Esther, the wife of her late brother Robert Tonucci, as well as many nieces and nephews.
