Roy E. Martin, of Holbrook, originally from Braintree, passed away September 11, 2026 at the age of 68. Roy worked for Building #19 for 24 years doing salvage runs. After Building #19 closed, he began working for his best friend, Jim O’Donnell, at The Office Guys until he retired. He loved fishing and camping, but most of all attending family functions and visiting with his grandkids.
Loving father of Jill Becker and husband David of Plymouth, Holly Tate and husband Tim of Norwell, Amy Maree of Norwell, Thomas DuBois of Braintree, and Sarah Vaillancourt and husband James of Holbrook. Cherished grandfather of Kayla and husband Geoff, Christopher, Aubrey, Brady, and Josie and great-grandfather of Grayson and Harrison. Brother of Paul “Marty” Martin of Carver and Rita Bowers of Weymouth. Son of the late Paul and Helen (Smead) Martin. Also survived by nieces, nephews, and his nephews and good friends Kevin Martin and Justin Bowers.
Memorial visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Currie Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook, on Monday, September 21st from 9:30am-11:30am followed by a service at 11:30am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

He was my uncle and godfather. I will miss him a lot. Although I can’t be there in person, please know I hold all of you in my thoughts and prayers.
