Michael F. Callahan

May 17, 1953 – January 27, 2026
Resident of Marshfield, formerly of Randolph, MA

Michael “Mike” Callahan of Marshfield, formerly of Randolph, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully in the early morning of January 27, 2026, at the age of 72. He was the beloved son of the late John T. Callahan, Jr. and Marie L. Callahan. Mike was the husband of Lynn Masciarelli-Callahan; the father of James Callahan and his wife Ellen Cooper of West Bridgewater; Shauna McDonough and her husband Brian of North Easton; and Kevin Callahan and Michelle Callahan, both of Marshfield. He was a proud grandfather to Lyla and Cali McDonough and Jake and Ryan Callahan. He also leaves behind his four brothers, John, Stephen, Timothy, and Patrick Callahan.

A graduate of Randolph High School, Mike earned his associate’s degree from Ferrum College in Virginia. He was one of the founders of Callahan, Inc., alongside his father and brothers.

Mike lived a life marked by adventure, determination, and individuality. Those who knew him remember his bold spirit, magnetic personality, and contagious laugh. He was a builder at heart, from a generation where a handshake carried real weight, and he believed that a person’s word mattered as much as any contract. He took pride in doing things his way.

An accomplished pilot, Mike also enjoyed golf, boating, and sports throughout his life. He leaves behind a legacy shaped by perseverance, complexity, and the enduring impact of a life well-lived.

Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Saint Mary’s Church in Randolph. Burial will be at a later date.  Following the service, the family welcomes friends and loved ones to join them at Granite Links Country Club. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael’s memory to the American Heart Association.
