Ruth A. Pasteris

Passed on October 13, 2023
Resident of Randolph, MA

Ruth A. Pasteris, formerly from Randolph, passed away October 13, 2023 at the age of 83. She is preceded in death by her best friend Mary T. Wilson.

Ruth grew up in Dorchester, and she started working at John Hancock in the mailroom when she was 16 years old. She enjoyed playing basketball and bowling for the company. She continued to work her way up to a supervisor and was so proud of her accomplishments working for John Hancock from 1956-2000. Ruth loved being with her family, gambling, and traveling with Mary. They enjoyed trips to the Cape, visiting FoxWoods, and listening to Irish music together.

Ruth was a fighter and beat cancer twice! She never gave up, always remained strong, and valued her family time together.

Ruth loved football. She was one of the New England Patriots' biggest fans. She would never miss a game and collected memorabilia of all Boston sports teams. Her other favorite football team was Boston College, she looked forward to game days to enjoy from her couch. She was introduced to Facebook at the age of 76 and would post and like all the time. It was a great way for her to connect with friends near and far.

Ruth lived with her family in Halifax. This included the four dogs which she loved having around. She enjoyed being together with everyone and especially when there was a party or cookout at the house to see people.

Ruth was a sister to the late William R. Pasteris Sr. and sister in law Mary of Norwell. She is survived by her niece, Deborah Hogan and husband Peter of Halifax, nephew William R Pasteris Jr. and wife Holly of Kingston, nephew John J. Pasteris and wife Christine of Hanover. She is also survived by her great-nephew Peter Hogan Jr and wife Emily of Plympton, her nieces Holly, Heather, and Madison Hogan of Halifax.

She will be loved and missed by all.
