Patricia ‘Jean’ Lilley Ahern

Patricia “Jean” (Lilley) Ahern, of Holbrook, passed away unexpectedly September 30, 2022 at the age of 78. Born in Boston to the late Lawrence and Margaret (Douglas) Lilley Sr., she graduated from South Boston High School. She worked for the telephone company as a supervisor for over 30 years before retiring and later worked for State Street Bank.

Jean enjoyed spending time at the Whitman VFW, playing shuffleboard and was a part of the Women’s Bocce team. She enjoyed taking Colleen to social activities and dances through the Brockton Area ARC and spending time with her grandchildren.

Beloved wife of the late William Ahern. Loving mother of Christine Ahern of Bridgewater, Lori Knight and her husband John of Holbrook and Colleen Ahern of Holbrook. Cherished grandmother of Caoilainn, William, and Deirdre Knight, all from Holbrook. Sister of the late Rose Lilley, Lawrence Lilley, Jr., Margaret Lilley, and Michael Lilley, Sr. Sister-in-law of Leonora Lilley of Hanson, Joan Lilley of Pembroke, Margaret Thompson of South Boston, James Ahern of South Boston, and the late John Thompson and Genevieve Ahern. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Hurley Currie Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook on Friday, October 7th at 9:45am followed by a funeral mass at 10:30am at St. Joseph Church in Holbrook at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, October 6th from 5-8pm. Interment Union Cemetery, Holbrook.
