Mark J. McKeon

Mark J. McKeon, 48 years old of Boston, formerly of Holbrook, passed away suddenly on April 13, 2021. Beloved son of Anna Gates (McKeon) and Robert Gates of Holbrook. Brother to Rachel Gates and her husband Louis of Holbrook, Daniel Gates of Quincy and Allison Gates of Quincy. Loving uncle to Devin, Angelina and Adrianna. Mark was preceded in death by his loving grandfather, James McKeon, grandmother, Anna Mckeon, aunt, Geraldine (Penny) Furber and uncle, Michael McKeon. Mark is remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Mark was an avid sports fan. Born on Superbowl Sunday, he had a true love for football and all sports. He had a passion for music and always made his family laugh with lines from movies. Mark made a friend wherever we he went and always had a smile on his face. He attended high school at both Holbrook High School and Blue Hills Technical Regional High School.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial mass on Thursday, April 29th at 10am at St. Josephs’s Church, 153 S. Franklin Street, Holbrook. Covid-19 precautions will be in place. Visiting hours are omitted. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to their favorite charity in Mark’s name.
