Elizabeth F. MacDonald Bombas

Elizabeth F. (MacDonald) Bombas, 92, of Brockton, originally from Dorchester, died peacefully on August 16, 2018 at Brockton Hospital. She had been living in an Assisted Living community in Stoughton for several years.

Betty, as she was called, was the daughter of Malcolm and Virginia MacDonald and the sister of Frederick MacDonald, Lorraine Lamb, Virginia Wirta and Pauline MacDonald, who preceded her. She was also preceded by her first husband, Edwin Montgomery, son Edwin Montgomery, Jr. and second husband Michael Bombas. She leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Betty will be remembered as the sweet, happy and kind person she was by the many people whose lives she touched.

Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook on Saturday, August 25th at 8am followed by a funeral mass at St. Joseph’s Church in Holbrook at 9am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment at St. Union Cemetery, Holbrook.
