Martin F. Slazas, of Holbrook, the finest carpenter that ever lived, passed away peacefully November 4, 2016 at the age of 76, with his loving wife by his side. Born, raised, and educated in Brockton, Marty was a resident of Holbrook for 50 years. He was the proud owner of MFS Carpentry. Marty enjoyed fishing, golf, music, watching sports, traveling and playing cards. He had a wonderful marriage for 50 years and thought the world of his wife. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was one of a kind and had a way of making people feel important.
Beloved husband of Joy (Montgomery) Slazas. Loving father of Martin Slazas and his wife Teresa of NH and Robin Reen and her husband James of Braintree. Devoted brother of Daniel Slazas and his wife Marsha of Brockton and Adam Slazas and his wife Denise of ME. Dear grandfather of Jenny, Faith, Marty, Vinny, and Josie. Also survived by his sister-in-law Gail Butler and her husband Bob of E. Bridgewater, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook on Tuesday, November 8th at 12:30pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours prior to the service beginning at 10:30am. Interment private. Late US Army Veteran.
