Lillian P. Wedge

On August 14, 2019, Lillian P. Wedge of Bridgewater passed peacefully after a brief illness at the age of 76. She has gone home to heaven, to be reunited with her handsome husband Harry, once again. The couple had been together since they were very young and were married for over 50 years. The couple enjoyed traveling the world together and had a special fondness for Italy, Bermuda, London, Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. They also spent many happy weekends in Ogunquit, Maine.

Lillian raised three strong women: Leah Howard of Randolph, Christina Wedge of Rockland and Joanna McCarthy of Holbrook who will miss so much about her...especially her Christmas cookies. Lillian was the cherished Nonni of four grandchildren who absolutely loved her: Jillian, Kaitlyn and Brian of Randolph and Jack of Holbrook.

Lillian was the loving daughter of the late Frank and Jennie LoRusso and step daughter of Lucy LoRusso of Nova Scotia. She was loved by her sister Joanne DiFronzo of Woburn and her husband, Richard, and their four daughters. Lillian also had many friends who will miss her dearly.

Lillian was raised in Roxbury and Belmont and loved by her large extended Italian family. She was the creative type and very talented in many areas of her life. She studied at The Trade School for Girls in Boston and spent many years as a hairstylist at Frank Zona’s Salon and Filenes. Later, she was a typist for Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She also studied Interior Design. Lillian was a talented seamstress, painter, cook, baker and decorator. She loved to celebrate every holiday and birthday with her family. More recently, Lillian had become a member of her neighborhood bocci club for which she was most proud!

A graveside service for Lillian will take place in Central Cemetery in East Bridgewater on Monday, August 19th at 10 am followed by cannoli, cookies and coffee. Flowers may be delivered to Hurley Funeral Home in Randolph.
