Mark B. Hassan

Hassan, Mark Barron of Holbrook, MA passed away unexpectedly on January 17, 2019 at the age of 25. Beloved son of Jean Delisle of Holbrook, MA (formerly of Portsmouth, RI) and the late Gerald Delisle of Portsmouth, RI and Mostafa (Robert) Hassan of Holbrook, MA. Devoted brother of Robert Hassan and fiancé Megan McBride of North Kingstown, RI. Treasured grandson of the late William and Doris Barron of Braintree, MA. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and in particular his confidant and boxing buddy Sean MacDonald of Braintree, MA and dear friends.

Mark attended Braintree, MA and Portsmouth, RI public schools. It is with a heavy heart we remember, “Marky” who was kind to his core, non-judgmental, always gave people the benefit of the doubt, spent every ounce of his being building up others, he loved deeply and he wasn’t afraid to show it or say it. Mark was known for his sense of humor, brilliant smile, contagious laugh, unforgettable emerald green eyes and his unique ability to connect with everyone he met and once you met Mark, you were his friend for life. A proud New England sports fan who loved Braintree youth sports especially basketball which he continued to play throughout his life, working out, video games, spending time with friends and family, lovingly devoted to his mother, brother Robbie, and his dog Gracie.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Hurley Funeral Home 134 S. Main Street, Randolph Thursday 11-1. Immediately followed by the burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree MA. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in his memory to the Herren Project, P.O. Box 131, Portsmouth, RI 02871, www.herrenproject.org or The Sun Will Rise Foundation 541 Washington Street, Braintree, MA 02184 www.thesunwillrise.org.

You will be missed dearest Mark. Unfailingly kind and gentle and good to the core, you will forever be loved and remebered as a sweet young man whom we were lucky enough to have in our lives, however brief the time. We were blessed for having known you and we are better for having loved you.
xoxo,
