Edward M. Weiner

Edward M. Weiner, son of the late Eli and Elizabeth of Boston, and longtime resident of Holbrook, MA, has died on Tuesday December 18, 2018 from complications related to diabetes, he was 75 years old. Ed, Eddie, Fast Eddie, Big Guy, Grampy, and Dad, as he was often and affectionately known by, lived for his family, and loved his small business Mayflower Stationers, of which he proudly and passionately operated on his own for over 30 years. He loved fishing, the Patriots & Red Sox, gardening, Foxwoods, his bologna sandwiches and foot long hot dogs, and being surrounded by the ones he loved, his family and life-long friends Pat and Bill Shea of Abington, and their family. He prided himself on hard work and doing whatever he could to provide a good life for his family and friends. He was there for everyone, always with a smile. He was soft spoken, but his presence was as big as his heart, which broke after the passing of his wife Judith after a 62-year courtship.

Eddie is survived by his adoring children, Debra Weiner of Manhattan, Danny Weiner of Weymouth, Robin Weiner of Holbrook, his adoring Daughter-In-Law Colleen Weiner, and his 4 grandchildren Ella, Griffin, Cole & Preston.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday December 21, 2018 at Hurley Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37) Holbrook, MA, 4-7 PM, followed by a celebration of life beginning at 7pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Diabetes Association in Eddie’s name.

I'm lucky to have met Ed aka "Big Guy." I hang with his daughter, Robin. So glad to be friends with her. I'm grateful having been able to see Big Guy on several occasions. Wish I met him years ago. Robin is a tremendous daughter that helped Ed in many ways. I wish all his friends and family well going through this sad event. Rest in peace Big Guy!

Ed was not only our personal go to guy for everything we needed in our office, He became our dearest friend. We considered him part of our office. We enjoyed seeing him every few days. He loved coming here where the guys would joke with him and he would laugh so hard!
We will miss him so much. Robin our hearts are broken for you and your brother, sister and family. Just think, He is now with your Mom, his Judy, that he missed so much. Sending love for this wonderful man that came into all our lives.

Ed has been a trusted supplier of the office supply needs and more for Boston Showcase for much of the 30 years he ran Mayflower Stationers

He always had a smile and genuinely pleasant disposition to go along with his commitment to servicing us as a customer.

All of us at Showcase who knew him are saddened by his passing and wish his family the best.

Ed was a staple, (no pun intended), to Randolph Engineering Inc. for at least 18 yrs. All of us were very fond of him & always looked forward to his Tuesday visits/delivery. We made sure to have an order for him every week.
He spoke very highly of his children & grandchildren. He was very proud of them. Judy too who we had the pleasure of knowing was such a wonderful person that he dearly missed. May he be with her now so they both can bless their family.
Our hearts are deeply saddened. He will be missed. Our deepest condolences to his friends & family.
Warmest Regards From His Friends at Randolph Engineering, Inc.

Eddie and I grew up together in the Boston/Roxbury area. We spent many a fun time exploring the Fenway. I am forever grateful to Ed for these memories.

May he rest in peace and his smile shine down on his loved ones forever.
