Carl Eric Davey

Carl Eric Davey, (aka C E Davey and Fuzzy) passed away August 26, 2018 while in Hospice Care. He was the loving son of George and Ruth (Hoeg) Davey; brother of Jonathan Davey and his wife Beth Billings of Arlington, and Russell Davey and Karolina Reed of Attleboro; and uncle to Billie and Catherine Davey of Arlington. He is also survived by aunts and uncles: Arthur and Natalie Lively of NH, Linda and Harold Samways of FL, Susan and Floyd Samways of MA, Gail and Ron Bickel of MI, Karolyn Dave of SC; good-friend and cousin, Bob Anderson and family of Holbrook; his two bunnies, Mr. Bunny and Peanut; and many cousins and friends.

Eric was born and educated in Holbrook where he was a resident his entire life. He was a self-employed electrical contractor and, up until recently, did work for the residents of Holbrook and surrounding towns. Eric was very proud of his ancestry to the Pilgrims who arrived on the Mayflower and ancestors who founded Marblehead and Salem. He was a true outdoorsman with a passion for hunting, fishing, archery, and biking. Eric will be remembered for his sense of humor, love and kindness to all and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook from 3-6pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Town of Holbrook Police Canine Gift Fund, 50 N. Franklin St., Holbrook, MA 02343 or to Hospice Services of Massachusetts, 577 Main St., Wareham, MA 02571.

Mr. & Mrs. D... and family. So sorry for the loss of Eric. I feel sad and have a void that will always be with me for not being able to see Eric one last time. We had fun over the years working together...and even more fun when out on the usual Friday night. All those memories especially at Katmandu restaurant. I'm glad that you are at peace. Rest in peace my friend.
Gregg
