William R. McBride, of Avon, passed away July 23, 2018 at the age of 58. Born, raised, and educated in Brockton, Bill moved to Vermont after serving in the US Army. He worked as a carpenter and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hiking.

Beloved son of Joan (Keyes) Dyke. Dear brother of Karen Nixon and her husband Bill of Bridgewater, Francis McBride of Brockton, Irene McBride of Avon, Terry Rennie and her husband David of Avon, Sandra Sweeney and her husband Ed of Avon, Robert McBride of AZ, and the late Mary Hoey. Brother-in-law of Dennis Hoey of Randolph. Dear uncle of Dennis Jr., Ashley, Krista, Nicole, Paige, Ryan, Joseph, and Chesney. Long-time friend of Alison and best friend of Vic.

Burial will take place at a later date in Vermont. Arrangements handled by the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph. Donations in Bill’s memory can be made to the Brockton VA Hospital, 940 Belmont St., Brockton, MA 02301.
