Sarah Murphy Ogar

Sarah Murphy Ogar, of Quincy, passed away July 12, 2018 at the age of 88. Born in Gracefield, County Offaly, Ireland, Sarah moved to the U.S. at the age of 16 and was a resident of Quincy for 7 years. She worked as a certified nursing assistant at Quincy Hospital. Sarah enjoyed playing cards, knitting, and visiting family in Ireland.

Loving mother of Carolyn Olson and her husband Steve of Halifax, Diane Galizio and her husband Jerry of Norton, Marie Ogar of Woonsocket, RI, Francis Ogar and his wife Judi of Holbrook, and Kevin Ogar and his wife Kathleen of Randolph. Dear sister of John Murphy of FL, Francis Murphy and Peter Murphy, both of Rockland, Mary Gaul of Kingston, Patrick Murphy of IN, Cathy Rogers of Weymouth, and the late Michael and Charles Murphy. Also survived by 7 grandchildren.

Funeral from the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook on Wednesday, July 18th at 9:15am followed by a funeral mass at St. Joseph’s Church in Holbrook at 10am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday, July 17th from 5-8pm. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
