Eddy grew up in Randolph where he graduated from Randolph High School in 1970 and was a member of the Varsity Golf team. He attended college at Salem State in Salem, MA. These included working as a caddy at the Martha’s Vineyard Country Club, a clothing salesman for the Anderson-Little Company, operated a vending machine business on the South Shore, sold Christmas trees during the holiday season and later worked for many years in construction, eventually running the family’s business of residential carpentry and remodeling for the E.C. Young Company which he took over and ran successfully upon his father’s retirement.
Eddy will always be remembered for his kindness to others, his faithful practice of the ‘Golden Rule’ when dealing with everyone and his unwavering devotion to both family and friends during difficult times of crisis or poor health.

Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph on Thursday, June 28th from 4-7pm followed by a service at 7pm. Eddy was one of the cute Summer boys who moved into our Oak Bluffs neighborhood every summer. We girls fought over who would be the special girl for each guy. Luckily, I was Eddy's one year. He will always have a special place in my heart. (What happens on the Vineyard stays on the Vineyard, Eddy) I'm hoping he meets up with my Jimbo really soon. Sending loving condolences to his family.

I grew up with Eddie. I hope to be at the service tomorrow.
I have many memories of the family when I lived on Darrell Drive. His mother and my mother were best of friends. I am truly sorry to hear this news and send my condolences to the family.

Dear Shav. I was devastated to hear this news. Eddie was so good to the Sullivan family. My dad, Joe, my aunts, my sister, Gail and Kevin and I. He has a special way of understanding and dealing with some real characters in my family and went out of his way to be kind and helpful. We extend our sympathies to you and all of the family for his loss. We will miss him. God Bless.
