JAMESON, Joan Marie (McCarthy), of Holbrook, May 2, 2018 after a lengthy illness at age 78. Beloved wife of the late George R. Jameson. Loving Mother of George R. Jameson Jr., William D. Jameson and his wife Laurie of South Easton, David G. Jameson and his fiancé Paula Agostino of Braintree and Susan M. Fernandes and her husband Paul of CA. Dear grandmother of Alexander, Isabel, Corey, Andrew, Daniel and George III and great grandmother to Cecilia Joan and Daniel Jr.
Joan (Joanie) has been a lifelong resident of Massachusetts and has been a resident of Holbrook for the past 54 years. She was an administrative assistant within the Holbrook public schools for more than 30 years and was actively involved in the town for many years. Joan cherished her friends from the Holbrook Public Schools and loved her monthly get together with her “girlfriends.†She loved arts and crafts, mystery books, computer games and the casino slot machines. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
Reposing at the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 South Franklin St. (Rt 37) Holbrook. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 9th at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Tuesday, May 8th from 4:00-8:00PM. Burial in Union Cemetery, Holbrook. Memorial contributions may be made to the Holbrook Public Schools, 245 S. Franklin St. Holbrook MA 02343 in the name of Joan Jameson.
