Rita M. (Ingerson) DeCosta

Rita M. (Ingerson) DeCosta, of Avon, passed away April 7, 2018 at the age of 88. Born in Boston, Rita was raised and educated in Roxbury. She was a resident of Avon Housing for 15 years and was a member of the Avon Council on Aging. Rita enjoyed crocheting and was a volunteer teacher at a church in Florida.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph DeCosta. Loving mother of the late Joseph, Edward, and Robert DeCosta. Devoted sister of Carol Merlo of Avon, Mary Lou LeCount of Dracut, and the late Vaughn, Fred, and Robert Ingerson. Also survived by 2 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph on Thursday, April 12th from 9-11am followed by a funeral service at 11am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment private.

Remembering Aunt Rita,

The phone calls talking about her day of activities. Her chuckling
when told my sister Joyce and I arm wrestled over the crochet kitchen towels she made for us. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
