Sheila (Richardson) Sweeney


Sheila (Richardson) Sweeney, of Canton formerly of South Boston passed away on Thursday March 8th surrounded by her loving family. Sheila was the devoted wife of the late Brian F Sweeney of South Boston. She is the beloved mother of William Richardson ad his wife Claire of Quincy, James Richardson and his wife Margaret of Norwell, Susan Manning and her husband Michael of Stoughton, Nancy Kostas and the late Reginald Farrell of Canton, and Kelly Richardson of South Boston. Cherished grandmother to Shawn, Kevin, David, Rachel, Nathan, Christian, & Chloe Richardson, Michael & Mackenzie Manning, James Mulrey, Shane & Ariana Kostas. Great grandmother to Skylar, Keira, Peyton & Nolan Richardson. Sister of William Ryan, Clifford Olson, Edith Salari, Donna & Carol Colomey, and the late Barbara Ambrisino & Gladys Haynes. Adored by many nieces and nephews. Sheila was a dedicated former employee of UMass Boston food services for over 40 years where she was loved by all.

Funeral from the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph, Thursday, March 15th at 11:15am followed by a funeral mass at St. Michael’s Church in Avon at 12pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday, March 14th from 4-8pm. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flower contributions may be made to The Alzheimers Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
