Francis J. Shea
Francis Jimmy “Barney†Shea, of Avon, formerly of Holbrook, passed away November 26, 2017 at the age of 71. Born and raised in Somerville, Barney graduated from Holbrook High School. He retired from Polaroid and was a baseball and basketball coach in East Bridgewater. Barney was an excellent athlete and enjoyed playing golf and softball. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Dalton Club, both in Holbrook, and the Randolph Amvets.
Loving father of Cortney Shea of Raynham, Walter Shea of Plympton, and Brian Shea of SC. Son of the late Walter and Mary (Spooner) Shea. Devoted brother of Michael Shea of FL, Kathleen Shea of Holbrook, Maureen Genereux of Carver, and the late Thomas Shea. Dear grandfather of Amanda, Wyatt, Aiden, and Lila.
A funeral service will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook on Friday, December 1st 12pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday, November 30th from 4-8pm. Interment MA National Cemetery, Bourne. Late US Army Veteran.

Michael, Kathy, Maureen and Family.....My heartfelt sorrows at this time. We will all carry some fond memories of Jimmy. A very long time ago I met all of you (1971 to be exact). Jimmy was a character and I always enjoyed talking with him. Your whole family has been close to my heart throughout these many years.
