Joyce C. Elden

Joyce Colleen (Chroniak, Melchione) Elden, of Holbrook Massachusetts, died peacefully in her home on early Monday morning, April 24, 2017. Joy, as she was known to her family and friends, was survived by her beloved husband Kenneth Elden. She was a loving mother of two children Colleen (Melchione) McColgan, wife of Michael McColgan, and Ryan Melchione, husband of Monica Melchione. She was the cherished daughter of the late Nancy (Carter) Chroniak and Nicholas Chroniak. She was the granddaughter of the late Ruth (Martinson) Carter. She was the niece of Joyce (Carter) Green, the cousin of Sean Green, and the cousin of his children Connor Green and Seth-Odin Green. She was the cousin of Mary (Martinson) Green and Cathleen (Martinson) Dentino. She was survived by many other cousins. She was a resident of Quincy, Orlando Florida, and Holbrook. She was born in 1969 in Quincy, Massachusetts and graduated from North Quincy High School in 1987. Always a hard worker, Joy has held many jobs such as 10 years for Home Depot and 10 years for Hingham Lumber Yard. She was a dedicated Jehovah’s Witness, attending the Quincy Congregation. She loved to share her very talented singing voice. She was a strong swimmer. She loved to spend time with her family at their time share in Florida. She loved children and one of her favorite jobs was being a nanny. Joy was known and loved by many friends, such as Deborah Black and Dorothy Vohnoutka. She had a genuine and outgoing nature, always a pleasure to be around and always hospitable. She had an affectionate love and a friendship with her two children and their spouses. Joy will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her. Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend the memorial service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 314 N. Franklin St. Holbrook, MA 02343. The service will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, April 29.

Rest In Peace Joycee. You left us too soon :( but we will never forget the many laughs you gave us...I thank you for that. We will forever be watching your videos of you singing for us, looking at a million photos, & always reminiscing the great times we had over the last 27 years with you!! RIP with Nancy now, I know you missed her so so much. Please watch down on all of us from up there ok Joycee? You will forever be in my heart and with us always in spirit.
