Robert 'Bobby' F. Richardson Jr

Robert “Bobby” Francis Richardson Jr., 46, of North Providence, formerly of Randolph, MA, passed away July 15th at his home, unexpectedly from a cardiac event.

Born July 26th 1977 to Mary Richardson and Robert “Bob” Richardson, Bobby grew up in a house filled with love and laughter. His childhood summers were spent with family on Cape Cod, where countless good times and memories were created, none of which were owed to his old school playlist on his relic iPod touch that he insisted playing on repeat.
After graduating New Hampshire College, he spent his entire 25-year career dedicated to working for Fidelity Investments. He was a loyal and reliable employee who advanced several positions during his employment.

His unexpected passing is a shock to us all. He was a caring, selfless person who would do anything for you. He was the life at any party and enjoyed the company of others. He enjoyed wagering on sporting events and always energetically looked forward to a day at the racetrack watching the horses.

His passion was anything sports related. He always supported his local sports teams with the Patriots being his favorite. He used those sporting events to bring loved ones closer. He generously manned the grill, filled the crockpot and ordered enough food to feed an army for every Patriots game. Truly the glue that kept family and friends together, his magnetic personality and infectious laugh will be missed by all. All his family and friends will remember and cherish the good times they were able to have with him. Our family has suffered a great loss and he will be severely missed by all of us.
Rest In Peace Brother. We all love you and miss you.

He is survived by his loving parents, Mary Richardson and Robert “Bob” Richardson, younger brother, John Richardson, and nephews Anthony and Jacob. Along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 26th at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph, from 4-8pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bobby’s memory to the American Heart Association. And the next time you watch a Patriots game, think of Bobby by having a beer and betting against the spread.

I am so very sorry for your loss. May our Lord comfort your entire family in the days to come.
Bobby and I worked together at Fidelity years ago, but we still chatted when we would bump into each other getting our afternoon coffee. He will be missed dearly.

God Bless

I am heartbroken to hear about the loss of Bob. I worked with Bob for many years at Fidelity Investments. I remember all of the great discussions we used to have at lunch about life, sports, bob was always just smiling. I remember his infectious laugh and the big smile he'd give you when passing. Bob never hesitated to stop and talk with you, ask about your day and family. He was one of the most genuine people I've had the pleasure to work with. We will all miss you Bob, and my prayers go out to you and your family.

I will miss you buddy! A life taken far too soon! You will be missed by all especially me. Although I would not see you much, we would always be in contact when a Big Horse Race came up. From all our memories during our elementary school years through high school, you were always a great friend. Going to the Track, because we thought we were gonna get rich on the Kentucky Derby. I truly will remember those times we spent together and now realize you’re looking down on me and my family. Love you Buddy!

I am rarely at a loss for word, but I am speechless. Bobby was an amazing person, coworker and friend to so many. I spent much of my time at Fidelity working alongside him. He was always able to put a smile on their faces and make them laugh. He was always there with a cheerful hello when he would see you walking around or making a funny comment to someone or saying something to watch my reaction, and I loved him for that. Rest in Peace Bobby.. .you will be truly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know you.

Still can’t believe you’re gone my friend!
From my days at NHC you brightened up every party! And no trip back to the US was right without a few beers with “Bobby Beers”! And who could forget us getting kicked out of the hotel at Cory’s wedding! Will never forget those laughs and great times! There’s another star in the sky tonight! Sleep tight Bobby, miss you pal! Love and condolences to the family ?

I worked with Bob at Fidelity. He was someone that definitely made me laugh and put a smile on my face. He made things look easy at work. The last time I saw him in the halls he was joking. I will miss him.
