William 'Bill' O'Neill

William “Bill” O’Neill, of South Boston, Dorchester, Randolph, MA and Grafton NH passed away June 16, 2024, at the age of 85. Survived by Mary (Lee), his loving and devoted wife of 66 years. Father of Billy, Michael (Donna) and Jim. Grandfather of Shanyn, John, Shane, Colin, Dakota, Will, and Jaxon. Great grandfather of Layla and Finan.

Brother of Ed (Nancy) and Charlene (Michael-deceased). Uncle and great uncle to many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Bill (Pops) and Marguerite (Babe) and his maternal grandmother (Granny).

His greatest joys were being with his family, his dogs, spending time in New Hampshire, listening to Irish music, watching the Bruins and Red Sox, and old western movies and TV shows. Long time employee of Gillette until his retirement in 2000.

The family would like to recognize and thank the medical providers and support staff at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative & Hospice Care, Wheelock Terrace, and to Douglas who provided respite relief.

Funeral from the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph on Saturday, June 22nd at 9:15am followed by a funeral mass at St. Michael’s Church in Avon at 10am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held Friday, June 21st from 6-8pm. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Late US Navy Veteran.
