Ellen A. (Goode) O'Toole
Ellen A. (Goode) O’Toole, of Abington, passed away June 12, 2024 at the age of 76. Beloved wife of the late Thomas O’Toole, Jr. Ellen is survived by her sons: Thomas O’Toole and his wife Julianne and Brian O’Toole and his wife Susan; her grandchildren, Jack, Liam, Sofia, and Joey; her brother, Michael Goode and his wife Marion; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Ellen enjoyed going to the casino, lunch with the ladies, and spoiling her grandchildren. Her favorite activity was having her cup of tea in the morning with her grand-pug, Lulu, on her lap.
Funeral from the Hurley Currie Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook, on Thursday, June 20th at 9am followed by a funeral mass at St. Clare Church in Braintree at 10am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, June 19th from 4-7pm. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.

Ellen was a dear friend of mine since Grade 7 in Junior High School. She will be missed by Frank and I and I will miss my weekly phone calls to her every Sunday night. May she rest in peace our dear Friend.

I am the other Grandmother! I know how important Ellen was to my daughter Julie and son-in-law Tommy. To Jack and Liam, she was a second Mom….. always there when they came home from school, there to help with homework. There to greet Jack and Liam when they came home from taekwondo with their many belts and medals, home from soccer games and many other phases of their lives. From the time they were born to when Jack and Liam graduated high school and there when Jack came home from college. I pray that my family can continue on with all the beautiful memories Ellen has given them.
