Jimmy was a neighbor on Stacy Street where we all grew up. We used to play softball on the street and Jimmy was a great player. He was also an avid Red Sox Fan and he and I would disagree about which players we thought were the best.
He was a great friend and I am so sorry to hear of his passing.

I remember Jim from TV candle pin bowling, it was big back then.
But mostly I remember him and miss him here - online.
His posts were many.
He always included photos of his father's accomplishments, baseball among them, his pride and love you can always read between the lines of his text.
He embraced social media. His stories of Dr. Thompson and family. The chimpanzee. He would answer and query, post back on a joke or kidding.
Mention a street and he knew who grew up there, and sometimes where they are now.
If we find time he’s still here online.
I am very sad reading this news.
God please bless Jimmy Drysdale.

To the Friends and Family of Jim Drysdale,

I am so terribly sorry to learn of your loss.

As a former resident of Randolph, MA, I so enjoy perusing the 02368 FB Page. One of my favorite “commenters” was Jim.

I immensely enjoyed reading anything he contributed to the Page whether was stories, history, his knowledge or otherwise. I especially enjoyed the wealth of vintage photos he was kind enough to share with us all.

Although I never had the pleasure of personally knowing Jim, he appears to have been a lovely man ... not only evidenced by his numerous aforementioned contributions, but the testimonials that appear here.

Thank you Jim, for the delight you unknowingly provided to “this” stranger.

May you eternally Rest In Peace in Gods loving arms.
