Anne M. (O'Toole) Szczesny

Anne Marie (O'Toole) Szczesny, 90, of Holbrook, entered into Eternal rest on August 3rd, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward, her loving son's Paul and Kevin and cherished daughter Karen. She is survived by her children, Donna Szczesny of Middleboro, Patricia Hunt and her husband John of Holbrook, and her dear sister, Agnes Doren of Quincy. She was a devoted Nana to her grandchildren Christopher and his wife Brittany, Sean and his wife Samantha, Jessica, Ashley and her husband Mark, Michael, and special Grand-dogs, Dakota and Jada. She also was a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

Anne was a caring and giving person; as a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, she followed her faith by serving her community. Her passion was sewing, and she enjoyed her time with quilt guild friends making various gifts for veterans, cancer, aids, and homeless shelter organizations. She touched the lives of many by participating in the Meals on Wheels program and recruited her daughter and her children to share in the importance and rewards of giving back to your community. Family was everything to Anne. Her love and dedication to her children exceeded expectations of a mother. She adored her grandchildren and looked forward to taking them on summer vacations. Making Christmas Eve special for them brought her so much joy, and the fine adults they grew up to be, made her proud. Anne's courageous gift of a kidney to her brother Tom kept him with us, so our family could continue to share milestone events. We will always love her, and we feel blessed because she was in our lives.

Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Currie Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook on Monday, August 8th beginning at 9am followed by a funeral mass at St. Joseph Church in Holbrook at 10am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment Union Cemetery, Holbrook.

Donna and Patty,
I was so sorry to hear about Aunt Anne.
I will always remember how talented she was and how helpful she was to so many. Many happy memories of her and my Mom and their sisters getting together when I was young.
