Estella Lucien Constant
Estella Lucien Constant, 88, of Darrell Drive in Randolph, MA passed away at Milton Hospital on Thursday, June 30, 2022.
Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to Stephen Lucien and Dieudonne Dufresne, Estella was lovingly known as Bermane to family and Stella to friends.
Stella was born on September 2, 1933.
Stella received her primary and secondary education in Haiti, and completed her training as a Nurse in Nursing School in Haiti.
While working as an Operating Room (OR) Nurse at Centre de Sante de l'Arcahaie, Stella met a teacher, Jean Marie Louis Constant (LouLou).
LouLou and Stella married on December 31, 1962.
LouLou and Stella emigrated to the United States in 1967 and 1968, respectively. LouLou and Stella lived in Boston, MA for 22 years before moving to Randolph in 1989.
While raising a family and working outside of the home, Stella continued her nursing education at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital School of Practical Nursing.
During Stella’s career she worked primarily at hospitals including Saint John of God Hospital, Lemuel Shattuck Hospital, Faulkner Hospital before retiring from Milton Hospital.
Stella is preceded by her parents, her husband, LouLou, her son, Jude Harry Constant, her brother, Harris Lucien, and her sister, Marie Hermithe Lucien Liautaud.
Stella is survived by her daughters, Maryse Constant and Nicole Marie Constant, her grandson, Justin Jude Constant-Corbin, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Stella was a very devoted Wife, Mother and Friend who loved reading and education, travel, fashion, music, current affairs and discussing the news of the day.
With a very generous heart and a love for laugher and learning, not only was Stella extremely organized, a proficient observer and gifted at planning and budgeting, Stella was also an excellent cook with a great smile and great sense of humor.
Stella was a special individual. We love her and we will miss her. We are all very Blessed to have known Stella, and to have had her in our lives.
Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph on Monday, July 11th from 9-10am followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary Church in Randolph at 10:30am.
