Ann J. (Barr) Goss

Ann J. (Barr) Goss, of Randolph, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at her home with her beloved husband, Gary L. Goss, of 62 years at her side. Ann was born on April 20, 1934 in Boston, MA to her parents Samuel F. Barr and Agnes Barr. Ann married Gary on April 16, 1960. They then moved to Randolph where they raised their family together. She is also survived by her children, Gary W. Goss of East Taunton and Nancy J. Andersen of Shapleigh, ME; her grandchildren Ashley Arcand and husband Timothy of Lakeville, Alison Goss of Fall River, Christopher W. Andersen and wife Marissa of Easton, and Ryan J. Andersen of Shapleigh, ME. She is predeceased by her son in law, Warren. Ann was also a beloved great-grandmother, “Grammy,” to Teagan, Julian and Hailey.

Ann enjoyed cooking for family events. There were always cookies or coffee cake waiting for anyone who stopped by for a visit. She loved getting together with family and friends for cards, games, and casino trips. She enjoyed crocheting themed afghan blankets for family members. Throughout her lifetime, they spent many hours traveling to Northern Maine to visit with family and going on adventurous trips with longtime friends.

Ann’s smile and laugh always lit up the room. She was a force of positivity and immense love and support to all those who knew her. She will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.

A graveside service honoring Ann will be held on Tuesday, June 21st at 1:00 at Central Cemetery in Randolph. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Friendly Food Pantry of Randolph. www.friendlyfoodpantry.com

Ann was a LOVE. From the day I met her at Kings's Dept in 1974
store. I was just a kid over 40 yrs ago. She took me under her wing. Her laughter was so special. Never a bad word about anyone. Always a shoulder to cry on and so supportive. Her and Gary(her husband and best friend) are so Wonderful. Who know that some time down the road I would marry her sons best friend. I am so lucky to have met her and spend time together thru the years. I will miss her so much!
