Jean Marie Louis Constant

Jean Marie Louis Constant, 87, of Darrell Drive in Randolph, MA passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 11, 2021.

Born in Arcahaie, Haiti, to Idelette Constant and Richelieu Eugene, Jean Marie Louis was lovingly known as LouLou.

LouLou was born on August 19, 1934.

LouLou attended primary school at L'école des Frères in Arcahaie, Haiti and secondary school at L'école des Lycée Louverture in Port-au-Prince, Haiti before attending L'école Normale where he majored in Education.

After graduating from L'école Normale, LouLou became a teacher and subsequently a principal at L'école de Pance.

LouLou married Estella (Stella) Lucien on December 31, 1962.

LouLou and Stella emigrated to the United States in 1967 and 1968, respectively. LouLou and Stella lived in Boston, MA for 22 years before moving to Randolph in 1989. LouLou worked at John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company for 34 years. While raising a family and working at John Hancock, LouLou earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Boston University, a Master of Science in Counselor Education from Suffolk University and Master of Science in Applied Management from Lesley College.

LouLou is preceded by his parents and his son, Jude Harry Constant.

LouLou is survived by his wife Stella, his children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters and extended family.

LouLou was very friendly, personable, and generous, with a love for education, music, dance, photography and travel. He especially enjoyed writing and entertaining family and friends. LouLou was a special individual and will remain in our hearts forever.

Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph on Saturday, November 20th from 9-10am followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary’s Church in Randolph at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. I have the great pleasure of being Maryse's friend.
I have always admired the loving relationship she had with her dad. Her love for him is a testament to the great man and father that I am certain he was.
