Geraldine R. (McTernan) Saunders
Geraldine R. (McTernan) Saunders, a longtime (60+ year) resident of Randolph, passed away peacefully in her home on November 4, 2021, at the age of 88 surrounded by her family and with her cherished cat Carley by her side.
Beloved wife of the late Robert (Bob) Saunders. Loving mother of R Daniel Saunders and his wife Marilyn of Quincy, and Geralyn Saunders of Randolph. Dear grandmother (“Mimi”) of David and his wife Dana of East Bridgewater, Derek (USCG) of New Jersey and Emily of Canton and great-grandmother of Shane and Hunter. Daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Walmsey) McTernan. Sister of Thomas McTernan of IL, Francis McTernan of FL, Kenneth McTernan of FL, Kathleen Bobzin of Scituate and the late Bernadette (Sis) Prevost and John Joseph McTernan.
Gerry was born in Boston, graduated from Fitton High School in East Boston, and previously worked as a telephone operator and cash manager at Jordan Marsh and Macy’s. Her favorite role was “Mom” or “Mimi” to her family, and she will be dearly missed.
Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph on Tuesday, November 9th from 4:30-7pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment private.
