George F. Whitney
George F. Whitney, of Holbrook, passed away May 27, 2021 at the age of 81. George was a long-time employee of Gillette, and was proud to have had perfect attendance every year. He was a member of the Vega Club and Enterprise Club and enjoyed playing cards and having backyard barbecues with friends. Above all, he was a proud grandfather and loving father.
Beloved husband for 34 years of Ann (Sullivan) Whitney. Loving father of Carol Cahill of Hanson, Maria Bellino of Marshfield, Carol Hassan of Plymouth, Donna Romikitis, and the late George and Daniel Whitney. Cherished brother of Paul J. Whitney of FL, Janet Victoria of Easton, Helena Whitney of Easton, Linda Whitney of South Boston, and the late Joseph Whitney, Thomas Whitney, Mary Jane Walls, Carol Whitney, and Maria Whitney.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Joseph Church in Holbrook on Saturday, June 5th at 10am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are omitted. Interment private. Donations in George’s memory can be made to the Seasons Hospice Foundation, 8537 Solution Center, Chicago, IL 60677 or via seasonsfoundation.org.
