Constance (Turilli) Salerno

Constance (Turilli) Salerno, of Abington, formerly of Holbrook, passed away at her daughter’s home on April 27, 2020 surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 81.

Beloved wife of Robert Salerno. Loving mother of Lisa Sprague and husband Rod of Duxbury and Michael Salerno and wife Cheryl of Holbrook. Daughter of the late Filomena and Serafino Turilli, both immigrated from Italy. Dear sister of Susann Turilli of Duxbury, Charlotte Andreotti and husband Joseph of Peabody, and the late Serafino “Sal” Turilli and Carl Turilli. Loving “Nonnie” of Matthew Sprague of Pembroke, Jessica Sprague of Quincy, Rachael Sprague of Foxboro, Robert Salerno and fiancé Savannah of Nashua, NH, Courtney Trudeau and husband Jeff of Norton, and great-grandmother of Garrett. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Connie worked at Mark Anthony’s restaurant in Onset, Ramblewood Apartments in Holbrook and in the cafeteria at the Kennedy School in Holbrook. She was a member of the Rockland Council on Aging and proud breast cancer survivor. Connie enjoyed bowling in her earlier years, listening to music, playing Bingo and left/right/center, cooking, going to the senior center, early morning walks, and traveling with friends, including trips to Italy, Mexico, and Hawaii. She loved her grand dogs and cats. Most of all, Connie loved spending time with her cherished family and good friends, many from East Boston. The family is very grateful to Norwell VNA and Hospice for all their loving and considerate care.

All services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Connie’s name can be made to the Abington Food Pantry, 425 Plymouth St., Abington, MA 02351.
