Theresa M. (Conway) Hayes
Theresa M. (Conway) Hayes, of E. Bridgewater, formerly of Randolph, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2021.
Beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Hayes. Loving mother of Jim and his wife Betsy (Connors) of East Sandwich MA, Bill and his wife Peggy (Ahern) of East Bridgewater MA and Patricia Dunlea and her husband Chris, of Easton MA. Beloved daughter of the late Mary (Creeden) and Frank Conway. Devoted sister of MaryEllen Cunningham, Claire Conway, the late Francis, Dorothea McLaughlin, and Ruth Canfield. Loving grandmother to Meghan, Colleen, Connor, Caitlin, Sean and Ellen. Great-grandmother of Jayden and Brooklyn. Theresa held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews.
Theresa grew up in Dorchester, St. Ann's parish and graduated from Dorchester High School for girls, class of 1943. She attended Fisher Junior College and upon graduation worked for MIT and then Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
Theresa enjoyed all family gatherings, especially hosting the Extended Family Christmas party for many years. She and Bill were constant attendees at Randolph sporting events and various community events. She truly loved the time spent on vacations and looked forward to their winters in Pompano Beach. Especially the times spent at Pompano Surf Club. For over 50 years Terry and Bill visited Pompano beach and made many special friendships during their time there. Spending time with family and friends brought Theresa great joy.
Theresa was a devote Catholic who greatly enjoyed watching mass on TV and listening to the singing priests. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and greatly enjoyed listening to her Irish music. Theresa had been a member of St. Mary's church and resident of Randolph for 45 years, until moving to East Bridgewater.
Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph on Tuesday, June 1st starting at 9am-10am followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary’s Church in Randolph at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial will take place on Thursday, June 3rd at 10:30am at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne.
