Craig Costa

Craig Costa, 59, of Wareham, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 in Boston after a brief illness. Born in Quincy, he was the son of the late Albino and Christine (DiBona) Costa. Craig was the owner of Costa Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning.

He and his brother were raised in an extremely close and loving family, who spent as much time as possible with all of his cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Family was everything. His love for his family was clear and undeniable. Craig was an proud dad who taught the importance of hard work and generosity to all. He and his brother and extended family enjoyed years of holidays and celebrations and he was the ultimate host at this famous slab parties on the lakefront in Wareham.

He possessed the amazing gift to make friends wherever he went and made each of those people feel like a best friend. His contagious laughter would brighten the darkest of moods and electrify any occasion. Time spent with Craig would leave you with many memories and stories to cherish over the years. Never a dull moment!

Craig’s passions were many; he was a gifted singer and musician and performed as Karaoke DJ at Stevie B’s restaurant in Onset, as well as all of the great parties he hosted; he was an avid golfer and fisherman. Boating, waterskiing and jet-skiing were an few of his favorite pastimes. An early love of all things with two wheels led him from dirt-biking in the woods of Holbrook to riding all over the country with his beloved Harley Davidson with an group of buddies who (of course!) became family.

Craig leaves children Ryan, Christine and Christopher of Wareham; brother Glen Costa and his wife Jori, his niece and Goddaughter Ariana Costa, all of Holbrook; cherished partner Katelyn Jordan of Wareham; several cousins and of course, many, many friends.

Dearest Ryan, Christine, Christopher, Glen, Jury, Ariana & The Holbrook Clan! I am so very sorry for this great loss. Craig was amazing in so many ways going way back to High School when "The Holbrook Boys" got a flat tire and that started many great friendships for many years. I am honored to have known Craig and been apart of his family for so many years. We enjoyed countless times in Wareham having the best of times whether at the Pond or sitting by the fire. This is with such a heavy heart that I hope you all find comfort in the incredible memories you all have of your Dad, Brother & Friend.
God Speed Craig! You will be sorely missed.
Love, Kim Bates

This is what comes to mind when I think of Craig. “Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”
Craig you had one heck of a ride. You certainly knew how to enjoy life. You will be missed by so many.
Much love to you and your family.

It’s hard to believe 36 years has passed us by and even harder to believe you are gone. It’s funny how we always kept running into each other through out the years. I can’t believe I will never run into you again.
Rest In Peace Craig, and give your mom a big hug for me. I miss the time we used to spend together. Say hi to Dad and Snake for me too.
God bless your kids and Glen and his family and all the friends, family and loved ones you have left behind. You will definitely be missed by so many.

Craig, I met you 42 years ago not knowing what you would come to mean to me in the future. God brought you into my life for a reason - You became my partner and best friend and gave me a family I thought I would never have. You will forever live in my heart, and I will miss you my dear friend. XOXO.

To Craig’s dear family and dedicated friends, please accept my heartfelt condolences on Craig’s untimely passing. Though many years have passed since our days at Holbrook Junior High and Holbrook High School, I see that Craig continued to relish life and the very intrinsic value of a moment well-lived. Craig, I pray you rest in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and continue to relish and praise the very Creator of life, Almighty God.
