Joseph A. Sass

Joseph A. Sass, of Wareham, formerly of Randolph, passed away after a brief illness. He was 79. Joe was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Kathleen (“Milly”) Sass, and his second wife Patricia (Van Dam) Sass. He is survived by his children Joseph P. Sass and his wife Maureen of West Bridgewater, Richard Sass and his wife Cheryl of Lakeville, Kevin Sass and his wife Susi of Randolph, Kathleen King and her husband Matthew of Berkley, and Robert Sass and his wife Laurie of Bridgewater. Joe joins his beloved daughter, Tina-Marie in Heaven. He leaves behind his grandchildren Joseph, Tyler, Matthew, Rebecca, Noelle, Thomas, Cameron, Matthew, Samantha, Trevor, Hayley, Emmalie, Megan and Alyssa, and two great-grandchildren, Joseph and Maggie.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph P. and Natalie (Belmosto) Sass. Joe was the brother of Anthony Sass of Brockton, Jerry Sass of Halifax, and Paula Witt of Maine. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Services provided by The Hurley Funeral Home are private. Donations may be made in Joseph’s name to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
