Muriel F. (Austin) O’Donnell, of Randolph, passed away peacefully in Meredith, NH on April 20, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Paul B. O’Donnell. Loving mother of Paul B. of Buzzards Bay, Stephen G. of Brighton, Robert M. of Randolph, Janice E. Marshall of Moultonborough, NH, Denise M. Guerrero of Madison, NH, and the late Michael A. of Randolph. Sister of Paul Austin of Quincy and the late Walter Austin, Robert Austin, and Rita Greland. Devoted grandmother of Casey Bennett of Clermont, FL, Jennifer and Megan Marshall of Boston, James Marshall of CA, Austin O’Donnell of Randolph, and Erin and Grace O’Donnell of Brighton. Loving great-grandmother of Kayla and Colton Bennett of Clermont, FL. Beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Muriel worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone after graduating from high school and later worked as a sales clerk for Filene’s in Braintree. Her greatest life’s work was being a stay-home mother to her 6 children.
Funeral from the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph on Tuesday, April 27th at 9am followed by a funeral mass at St. Bernadette’s Church in Randolph at 10am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, April 26th from 5-7pm. Covid-19 precautions will be in place. Interment MA National Cemetery, Bourne. Due to flower restrictions at the MA National Cemetery, the family has asked for donations in Muriel’s memory to be made to the Animal Rescue League of Boston via www.arlboston.org.

Muriel, I miss you! So many good memories sitting on your comfy couch debating politics with a cup of tea and cinnamon coffee cake muffins from BJ’s. To me, you will always be next door sitting in your favorite chair watching the news hearing Emma in the kitchen tip over the dog bowl while Michael’s outside mowing the lawn. God Bless.
