Dear David,

How can I eulogize your life in so few a words? A beautiful person who suffered so much yet held so much compassion for others. Your big blue eyes held so much insight about the world around us. You were extraordinarily perceptive, intelligent and thoughtful. All the wonderful memories are locked deep inside my heart now. Like a time-capsule your love will endure inside of me for decades to come. I can't express how sad we are to lose you, but I know you are up in heaven with Dad & all the other loved ones where there is an abundance of love and peace flowing in a never ending stream of comfort .....you deserve all that and more David. Love you always....Te Quiero Siempre Brother xxoo

Dear David Oliver,
You were a dedicated and devoted father and husband but also a loving son, a thoughtful brother and a caring uncle. Your generosity with your knowledge, skills, and time was appreciated by all. I still remember your love of jazz music from when we were neighbors in Quincy. We had good times there.
You also loved the ocean. I recall all of us kids swimming at Sandwich beach, climbing the rock jetties, and enjoying lunch with Mom while listening to the sounds of the surf. You had a kindness and a willingness to help others, a wit that was cerebral and a curiosity that you fed with your love of reading. I will greatly miss your beautiful blue ocean eyes and your great Joyce-family smile and I will hold you in my heart forever and ever.
Your loving sister Nancy

When I think of David, I think of how hard worked, his infectious smile and his kindness. Did you know he was Aunt Margie’s favorite nephew/niece? Because of his kindness.
I’m so sorry for your loss, Nancy, Justin and Rebecca. And please extend our deepest condolences to Aunt Ruth.

One of the good guys, gone.

David - I say that the hour of death cannot be forecast, but when I say this I imagine that hour as placed in an obscure and distant future. it never occurs to me that it has any connection with the day already begun, April 17. 2020 or that death could arrive this same night which is so certain and which has every hour filled in advance. Rest in eternal Peace - life continues onward. You have passed first to visit our Dad. enjoy!

Godspeed cousin, David. I knew you best when you were a sweet and loving toddler. I was fortunate to be at your wedding to Nancy. The years separated us and I was always disappointed not to see you at some family functions. So it's been a while, but I will always hold you near and dear. Reading these messages makes me so proud of the man you became.
