Andrew V. Lamborghini

Andrew V. Lamborghini, of Avon, passed away March 19, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Marguerite Lamborghini. Loving father of Susan Hamblin of East Bridgewater and the late Donna Lamborghini. Brother of Lissa Ferreira of Watertown, Linda Faste of Stanford, CA and Peter Lamborghini of Dallas, TX. Cherished grandfather of Christopher, Jeremy, and Damien.

Andy was a civil engineer and a conscientious worker. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed bird-hunting with his dogs. He belonged to the Holbrook Sportsmans Club and South Shore Antique Auto Club. Andy was a kind and gentle soul and a true family man. He lived for his daughter and his grandsons in the years since his grandsons were born. It was rare for him to miss a practice, a game, or anything at all that they were involved in. His family’s quiet hero, Andy was part of their daily lives and will be missed tremendously.

Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph on Thursday, March 25th beginning at 9am followed by a funeral mass at St. Michael’s Church in Avon at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Covid-19 precautions will be in place. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Andy’s memory can be made to a wildlife organization of one’s choice. Andy and I were fishing buddies. He knew the best places to fish, how to get there, and how to catch the fish. More importantly, he was happy to share that with a newbie. Our first trip was in 1974 when we worked for the Corps of Engineers in Waltham. We caught fish then. Andy always caught fish. Last year was the first year we didn't fish ... COVID. Been looking forward to our yearly trip to Snippatuit this spring.
Fishing will never be the same.

I worked with Andy for many years at the Corps. Although I am handicapped and a poor communicator, Andy was always very nice to me and went out of his way to make me feel involved.
My deepest sympathies to his family and friends; I will hold Andy up in my prayers!
