I’ve known Kathy since I was in high school over forty years ago. First as a gym teacher and then as a friend of my sister Annette. You couldn’t fool Miss Kiley. She was strict but she was also fun and had a big heart. She was a constant in my life and our family’s for the many years that she and Annette lived together. My kids grew up with her, her on holidays and many other events and she always took an interest in them. I loved seeing Kathy begrudgingly accept new things like computers and email. She wasn’t always thrilled to earn but she persisted (with some help from Annette) and got the hang of it. I’ll miss her thoughtfulness, genuine interest in others and her sense of fun.

My memories of Kathy are the fun cookouts in Hingham. What a blast and the big open field across the street playing ball. We had a lot of fun . Those were the days. Both my children had Kathy in school although no one knew they were relatives. She was a serious teacher who believed in what she taught.

My dad (George) and Uncle Paul were very close so we spent many good times together

Tom & Linda - there are no words. I watched as you cared for Kathy these past five months. Talk about brotherly love. I know she knew it. I have such special memories of Kathy going back to when we were kids at Gram's house, fun times on Elizabeth Lane, and all the times with Uncle Paul. I was fortunate enough to continue to be with her through Annette. We had many laughs at the house playing games, watching football games, etc. I, too, will miss her smile (smirk) but find comfort that she is no longer in pain. Love you all.

My condolences to you, Tom and Linda.

I will miss Kathy very much. Together we had a long history of teaching P.E. and health in Randolph. She was a devoted teacher and very much appreciated by her students. Kathy and I spent many moments chatting together, as we had hall duty between classes. I really enjoyed her company and friendship. She'll be sorely missed.

Tom and Linda, I’m so sorry to hear of Kathy’s passing. I remember her fondly, seeing her at family events throughout the years and sharing conversation and laughs. When I’d see her back in my high school days in the gym or around the halls I’d try to act on my best behavior as I passed by, but her sly smile always told me she wasn’t fooled. I’ll miss her.

I know that the last few months of Kathy's life were very trying. I'll take solace in the fact that she is no longer in pain, and can rest easy beside her mother and father. I'll always carry fond memories of spending holidays together. During my childhood, as far back as I can remember we had two holiday traditions. Thanksgiving and football at Kathy's house, and Christmas dinner and James Bond movies at our house. That is how I'll choose to remember Kathy. Sitting around the dinner table with her family enjoying a meal with holiday music playing in the background. She will be missed.

I always looked forward to seeing Kathy on the big holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas. She enjoyed spoiling Sean and I with the best presents while watching us raise hell running around the house.

Kathy was at many of my sporting events growing up, one being my first state championship in track. The win caught everyone by surprise but she had a big smile on her face!

Kathy's brother Tom and I are life-long friends but I did work for a summer with her on the Hingham town playgrounds. A lot of personality there, a lot of spunk. She didn't any take any pushback from any of those kids. No question who was in charge. She certainly was one to "make her mark".
My condolences to Tom & family.

I was so sorry to learn of Kathy's passing. It's been years and years since the Schnabels and Kileys lived backyard to backyard in Hingham. The gate between was always open for a lot of parental socializing and adult beverages. Great years and warm memories of softball and sledding and running wild. Kathy was always a good one to have on your team or on your side in any situation. She was a great friend of my childhood as was Tommy and Johnny. Warm memories despite the sad occasion. My sincere condolences to Tommy and to all the Kiley family and a shout out to the old 'hood, Elizabeth Lane and Chief Justice Cushing Highway (always a mouthful).

Cousin Tom and Family,
I am so sorry to hear Kathy has left this earth. Know her love and appreciation of her family and friends will always be with you. She is smiling down on you. She and I are the same age so we spent lots of fun times as kids running around Grams place after we got a toll house cookie from Gram’s cookie tin in her pantry. Kathy always had lots of energy and a smile. She seemed like your dad,Uncle Paul, who always had something fun planned for the kids. Remember the kazoos and the rock band in the garage? My heart aches for you and your family at this time. Love and prayers .
