I only learned that Dottie passed away now in March 2021, but i had been thinking about her very much during the pandemic and hoped that she was doing well. It was terrible that we couldn't visit anymore.
I met Dottie when I worked as an Activities Assistant at the Adult Daycare Center at Harbor House Nursing Home in Hingham. My job was to keep the clients happy and I tried to make them laugh. Well, Dottie entertained me with her humor, her funny stories, her warmth, and her enthusiasm. She made many friends at the center and always looked out for some of the frailer members. She loved singing, and when the neighboring daycare kids came to visit us during musical events.
Also, she always talked about the love she had for her father ('Big Red' and Dottie was 'Little Red', although she laughlingly said later the names were reversed!) and mother. She also spoke lovingly of her "adopted" family of Debbie and Ron,. and how proud she was of Mckenna, Morgan, and Marly.
I always thought I would see her again. I will miss her very much, but I will have many happy memeories of the fun we had at the Adult Daycare Center.

I forgot to add some important memories about Dottie to my comments above.
Dottie's mother told her what a wonderful, professional singing voice she had, and Dottie was so pleased to hear this. Dottie was also proud of working for NASA.
I also would be remiss not mentioning Debbie's Dad who take care of Dottie during her senior years, her caretaker ( forgot her name, sorry) whom Dottie loved and missed when she moved to New Hampshire ( or was it Maine?). and her beloved cat, Linus.
