Not sure what to say here really. I am infrequently short of words so the feeling is strange.

Words always seem sullen and dreary when grieving, but I suppose that I'd rather shed light on the powerful, delightful memories that this woman bestowed on me, which I will cherish forever.

Nana, this is for you.

From the time when I was a young boy you always were around - calling Coco from under the table, or telling the kids to get outside and play because you knew it wouldn't last forever. I remember happy times - like the Dorchester day parade and the whistles and whirrs of noisemakers, the bands and the silly string. Wiffle ball in the back yard and hoodsies on hot summer days. I remember going to school (the Edward Everett) and being so excited to get back to the triple decker on Thornley street to play hide and seek, and basketball through a milk crate. I remember talking with Grampy and Tank about anything I could just so I could hang with them. And I remember your hugs. I remember how warm and big they felt when I was young and small, and how as the years progressed, I couldnt help but imagine that they started feeling that way more for you as I grew. We enjoyed so much time, and so many memories... it seemed so simple back then...

Though we drifted apart as years went on, and life continues to grow more complex each day, I still have a great many thoughts and experiences that resonate for you. Now, when I am taking my kids to Nantasket beach, or going to the cape, it will always be something I will reminisce on with my children. I'll say, "...my nana and grampy used to take us here on big family trips!" And while they'll never get to meet you in person, and as my memory fades as I age, and the answers to the questions get harder to recall, you'll never be too far from my thoughts as we drive by the cove hotel, or make sandwiches on the beach at nantasket.
Also... cant wait to tell them about the dragonflys when they get a little too loud for the crowd ;)

Many will say you will be missed, and many will feel that way, I'm sure. But I can say that while I miss you, and the good old days from my childhood, and even the conversation we had, just last week, I will never forget you, and you will live on in me an my family.

We love you Nana,

Eric and Irina
