As families go, Uncle Shine was a wonderful loving, intelligent, humble man who was always quietly in the thick of family. From all sorts of family celebrations to farming, traveling, to just being a great husband, a tireless dad and resourceful handyman. He encompassed and embraced life and everyone around him.
I remember him with my dad in the old days driving a delivery milk truck full of glass bottles of milk. And how could we forget about the family picnics.

He never missed a chance to attended the annual birthday celebration for Grammy at Quincy’s Kincaide Park. He was often sitting at the picnic tables or in a family circle of chairs talking to his brothers & sisters chattering in Carabou French. There was lots of food & cooking & sharing amongst his siblings and their children up at Quincy’s Kincaide Park. Before it was all over you could be sure he was later posing for a large group family photo! My mom always told me she didn’t attend his “Hurricane” like wedding to Mary, which got flooded out, because I was in a hurry to make my debut to the family. Mom really missed being with her family that day, especially Shine. She always spoke highly of Chanel! You will be missed by so very many of us! Welcome Home Uncle Shine! Give hugs & kisses to all our loved ones

We’re sooo very sorry for your loss ! Shine was a gentle and good neighbor . We seen the the strong family bond 5 years ago , when he moved to Holbrook to be with you ! You gave him loving care and he gave the love back two fold . We enjoyed the afternoon play dates he had with Rex in the backyard ! But as the years past , the play dates lessened ! Shine’s last chapter in his life was fulfilled because you welcomed him into your home and hearts !
