John C. Ghilardi
John Carlo Ghilardi, of Avon, passed away November 5, 2019 at the age of 84. John was a US Marine Veteran of the Korean War and a retired Boston Police Officer. In his younger years, he enjoyed traveling to Italy with his wife, Vera. He was a huge New England Patriots fan, enjoyed photography, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Beloved husband of Vera (Emma) Ghilardi. Devoted son of the late Leo and Caterina (Baggi) Ghilardi. Loving father of Vera-Jean Ghilardi, Mary Eifler, John Ghilardi II, Michael Ghilardi, and Christina Morris. Dear grandfather of 2 granddaughters he raised as his own, Jessica L’Heureux and Heather Conly. Also loved by his 7 other grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph on Saturday, November 9th beginning at 10am followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 12pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment private.
